Haberdashery Layout

I made this layout for the Paper Flourish Scrapbookers Club Haberdashery Challenge and it was recently published by Scrapbooking Memories J Its was a fun layout and I used fabric as the square tile backing, the papers are October Afternoon 

Male Layouts

I have created a couple of ‘Male Themed’ layouts over the past few months for lessons @ Paper Flourish.

These two are of my super cute nephew Lucas. He is the perfect model to photograph, he does everything I tell him and more, not like my two boys whom I have to bribe to photograph them J

Always Beautiful

This is a layout I created of my sister which was recently published in Scrapbook Creations Magazine.

I used lots of lovely Prima products in this layout and I must admit, it is one of my favourites. I think it’s because I love the photo of my sister.

Blue Tilda

I just wanted to share a ‘Tilda’ card I made for the Paper Flourish Card Makers' Club, the theme was ‘Stamping’. I must admit I did stay in my comfort zone a little, stamping one of my fav Magnolia Stamps and colouring with Distress Inks, but I did get out of my comfort zone to make a ‘Blue’ card! I had a lot of fun making this one.

January's Prima Product Pick:

This was my interpretation of the January Prima Product Pick.

Loved the brown tones of this palate, and enjoyed having a go at a mini Mixed Media Layout. The photo is of our Beautiful 'Bella', taken by my husband Peter for ‘lets do 52’

Shabby Chic

Shabby Chic, is the new theme I set the Paper Flourish Scrapbookers' Club

These are two of the layouts I created as an example of the theme.

Because I am a mother to two teenage boys, if I want to scrap a pink and girly layout, I need to scrap photos of myself and of course I needed to scrap one of my boys!

Here is the definition I put up on the Scrapbookers' club blog (according to Tracey)

Shabby Chic by definition is showing signs of wear and tear but with class and style J

Shabby Chic layouts generally use soft pastel tones, with a hint of floral embellishments for a soft finish, however you can use this style for male themed layouts too. Shabby Chic often incorporates vintage elements to bring out the worn or aged look.  You will also see a lot of butterflies used in this theme too. We are all haberdashery experts now, so keep this theme going and add in some stitching to bring some style and class to your layout.
